FearTWD, Survival Rule Of The Week: Family is what you make it
By Liam O'Leary
3) You Do What You Can For Your Family.
As I said earlier, sometimes, you have to put what you want on the back burner for your family.
Let’s look at what we saw from Al during this week’s episode of Fear The Walking Dead: In spite of the fact she wanted to go away with Isabelle, she warned her off, not only to protect Isabelle from the plague infesting Drop Site Baker, but also, because she knew she couldn’t abandon Dwight to a potentially terrible fate at the hands of the plague.
You see, if someone is truly “family” to you, you will make these sorts of sacrifices and more to help them, because they’re family. That’s the whole point: Families do whatever they have to, even make sacrifices, for one another.
And, in a zombie apocalypse, you may have to go above and beyond the call of duty for your family, because, well, a zombie apocalypse is a desperate time, which calls for desperate measures.
Look at Dwight. He marched from Virginia all the way to Texas to try to find his wife, Sherry, because he didn’t want her roaming the zombie-infested countryside alone.
These are the sorts of things you’ll need to do for the people you care about in the apocalypse, even if it puts you at risk, to try to keep them safe.
For family, you do whatever you have to do.
