6. Glenn goes dumpster diving

Season 6 of The Walking Dead had quite a few big moments to choose from, but one of the most shocking, scary, and intense scenes came from episode 603 when Glenn and Nicholas got trapped in an alley full of walkers.

With the two survivors trapped on the top of a closed dumpster and no way to escape, fans started to wonder if this would truly be the end of Nicholas and Glenn at the hands of all these undead monsters.

That changed a little bit when Nicholas shot himself in the head while standing right next to Glenn. His lifeless body knocked Mr. Rhee off the dumpster and walkers dug into a body, pulling out the insides in a bloody and gory mess.

While it would later be revealed that Glenn somehow survived this incident, at the time there seemed like absolutely no escape. To see them both seemingly killed by the undead was shocking and eye-opening, and this is still one of the most talked-about scenes in the history of the show.
