13. Now THAT is metal!

When fans were told that season 9 episode 5 would be the final episode for Rick Grimes, people started freaking out. What would happen to this character that has graced television screens for almost a decade and how would the show look without him?

One end thought to come earlier in the episode when the horse Rick was riding on bucked him off and impaled him on rebar. Already exhausted from fighting the undead and wounded from earlier fights, he blurred the line of consciousness often.

Bleeding out with the growling of walkers getting louder, the sense of impending doom was overwhelming. Screaming in pain and reaching for a piece of rebar to help him get freedom, he started seeing his life flash before his eyes.

It looked like this would be the end for Rick, but he was able to remove his belt and use that in order to elevate himself off the rebar. Rick survived that moment, but it definitely gave fans a great fright since they had no clue if this would be his end.
