9) After returning from commercial, we see a rat gnawing on a walker (Later revealed to be Mark Smith). This is, at least, the fifth animal we’ve seen eating walkers, behind dogs, wolves (As seen in World Beyond), crows, and, as seen in season four’s “Blackjack”, an alligator.

10) Mark Smith is the first named walker we meet this season. Since we didn’t actually see him die, I’m not counting him towards named character deaths this season.

11) Dwight and Althea find the slogan “The End Is The Beginning” spray-painted on the back wall of the lobby of the skyscraper CRM have designated “Drop Site Baker”. Al later speculates that the rats (And the deadly disease they carry) were intentionally placed there. Were The Beginners (The name I’ve given the people who use the “The End Is The Beginning” slogan) spreading the rats to try to infect the CRM?

12) Nora’s group is the first instance of the black plague that we’ve seen in any Walking Dead series.
