5) The People Who Don’t Do The Right Thing

I think one of the best ways to explain why doing the right thing in a zombie apocalypse is so important, is by showing you what the alternative looks like.

When the outbreak hits, you’ll see a lot of people who’ll use the rise of the dead as an excuse to loot, pillage, and burn peoples’ homes and businesses, which will also likely get those people exposed to the dead, and killed (And, subsequently, create more zombies).

You will also see some people, some of them you might expect, and many you wouldn’t, thinking they have free reign to do what they want, or won’t live long enough to face consequences, commit some of the worst crimes imaginable to enemies, strangers, neighbors, maybe even friends, including rape and murder…maybe both.

Once the apocalypse sets in in earnest, those who survived the carnage will be faced with people who will murder people for a can of beans, or kidnap people to do who knows what to them, or people who’ll kidnap and murder people for food; Not to take their food, but to use them AS FOOD.

That’s only scratching the surface. There’s no telling what crazy ass things people may start believing in the face of an apocalypse, and what those beliefs may inspire them to do.

This is why it’s so important that you do the right thing, even in a zombie apocalypse, because there will be far too many people not just doing the wrong thing, but, doing downright evil things.

You don’t want to become like them. People like that destroy themselves, eventually. But, people who do the right thing, and come together, can build something that lasts, something that outlasts not only the people who do the wrong thing, but also, the dead.

That’s why you do the right thing. To outlast the apocalypse.
