AMC released the season finale schedule for Fear TWD and TWD: World Beyond

The end is near for the first half of Fear TWD and the first season of TWD: World Beyond as AMC outlines the mid-season finale and season finale schedule for both shows. It’s worth noting that there will only be seven episodes of Fear the Walking Dead, as episode 608 has not been completed after the pandemic shut down production back in March.

According to AMC’s social media, Fear the Walking Dead episode 607 will air on November 22, and then World Beyond will wrap up with a double feature of episodes 109 and 110 on Sunday, November 29.

It’s hard to believe that the shows came back in October and they’re already wrapping up again, but the good news is that production is underway on The Walking Dead and Fear the Walking Dead, so fans should be treated to new episodes of both shows in early 2021.

World Beyond films in Virginia and it wrapped filming on season 1 in November, so it follows that they won’t start filming again until the winter weather clears up, unless they find a new filming location for season 2 so that they can film earlier.

There’s no question that the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the TV and film landscape in a big way, and that can be seen in The Walking Dead Universe as the flagship show comes to an end in season 11.

The two spin-offs aired back to back beginning in October rather than be spread out over the summer; World Beyond was ready to air in April and Fear the Walking Dead would have aired immediately following their first season. Airing them together in October was nice for content-starved fans, but it might have been a bit better to have them air earlier while people were sheltering in place at the peak of the pandemic’s first wave.

With both shows wrapping up 2020 at the end of November, the countdown to new content will begin anew, but at least this time we know that there will be content on the way in the New Year.
