1) This episode begins much in the way season four’s “Laura” (A flashback episode recounting how John met June) did: Following John through his morning routine.

2) This episode reveals that, much as Strand and Alicia had been, John was stationed at the Lawton, Oklahoma, community. Had he observed them doing waste disposal duty before their promotion?

3) As John takes over the watch from Cameron, we see him sketching the main drag of the town. Was he a professional artist before the outbreak?

4) We see John deliver his letter to June through Janis, who is on laundry duty. Clearly, this is where her promotion landed her. Where are Alicia and Charlie?

5) Furthermore, how is Janis able to pass letters along to June? Is another member of the convoy stationed with June to ensure the letters get to her?
