1) Shadows Of Sin City

This episode begins and ends with a general retelling of the zombie outbreak through the medium of a shadow puppet show performed by Percy and his uncle, Tony, with the beginning being narrated by Iris.

While it would be easy to just assume that this is just that, a general retelling that Percy and Tony provide, showing the generation born after the outbreak began how it played out in front of their siblings, parents, and grandparents who witnessed it as it was happening.

However, I think there’s more being told here than we might initially see.

Within the shadow puppet show, we see a park which had people walking dogs, flying kites, jogging, and taking babies in carriages, all of which change over to walkers, as the park lies in ruin (Evidenced by the bench from the pre-outbreak scenes being destroyed in the post-outbreak scenes). Furthermore, we see highways and bridges first be clogged with cars, then, with a herd of empties.

Additionally, we learned in this episode that Percy and Tony are from Las Vegas, a city which was pretty well implied as being destroyed back in the second season of Fear The Walking Dead, as George Geary informed Travis Manawa that the national parks in Arizona, Utah, and Colorado (All states neighboring if not bordering Nevada) were all either abandoned…or their rangers turned.

The reason I mention this is, with the little details we see in Percy and Tony’s shadow puppet show, it raises the question: Were these things that they saw in Vegas as the outbreak ravaged the city and Nevada as a whole?
