When in a world of the walking dead, before fixing the world, fix yourself first

This week’s episode of Fear The Walking Dead was a tough one for Dwight. After finally reuniting with his wife, Sherry, over a year after being separated, Dwight learned that, while he wanted to return to something resembling the life they had before the pair became beholden to Negan, neither of them were really ready.

It became evident over the course of this episode that both Dwight and Sherry needed to fix themselves, to fix the people they had become, before they could truly come back together again, and, they weren’t the only ones.

In fact, this seemed like a theme for the entire episode, as several people, including Morgan, reflected on mistakes they’ve made in the past, and the changes and growth they believed was necessary for them to get to the person they wanted to become, and the places in their lives they needed to get to.

So, in this week’s Fear The Walking Dead, Survival Rule Of The Week, that is precisely what I aim to tackle: Fixing ourselves.

It might just be the toughest thing the zombie apocalypse will force us to do, but, it also might be the most necessary.
