2) Recognize Your Mistakes

There’s an old saying that “Hindsight is 20/20”, meaning that, once something happens, we can look back, and see the events that led up to it, it’s also usually considered something that isn’t helpful.

…Except, in a zombie apocalypse…it IS.

You see, it always pays to be able to look back at mistakes that you’ve made (Assuming you survive them) and recognize how, where, and when you went wrong, because, if you can do that, you can know what not to do in the future.

This is invaluable. There are few things more important to the goal of self-improvement than knowing how and where that improvement is needed. Without recognizing the mistakes you’ve made, how can you possibly prevent yourself from repeating them? It’s the very essence of how we learn.

Even when you think you might be doing right, you can realize only too late that your actions caused more harm than good, and, it’s important to be able to see where your good intentions turned wrong.

Those who do not learn from history, ARE DOOMED TO REPEAT IT.
