Hilarie Burton Morgan’s book The Rural Diaries nominated for Goodreads Choice Award.
Hilarie Burton Morgan penned a memoir looking at her life with Jeffrey Dean Morgan and their children entitled The Rural Diaries: Love, Livestock, and Big Life Lessons Down on Mischief Farm, and now the book is up for big award.
They live on a farm in upstate New York that they call Mischief Farm, and they often post happenings around the farm on their social media accounts. Fans have even mourned along with the Morgans at the loss of some of their beloved livestock.
Burton Morgan’s book was released in May of 2020 and is on the New York Times bestsellers list. This was a great time to release a book when people needed something to look forward to during the pandemic lockdown. Now, her book has been nominated for a Goodreads Choice Award in the Memoir category.
These awards are nominated by readers, and her book nomination was based on write-in votes by her fans.
The Rural Diaries chronicles the lives of the Morgans and their journey from a Hollywood lifestyle to life on the farm in upstate New York. The book is full of life lessons from marriage to infertility, business ownership, delicious recipes, and gardening tips. Burton Morgan is a breath of fresh air during a time in our history that we need something positive and uplifting but real at the same time.
Burton Morgan posted the award nomination announcement on her Instagram, sharing her gratitude for her fans and all the support they have given her book. She also gave us an interesting little bit of information stating that this news comes to her while preparing the outline for a new book.
