The Morgans take off on a road trip for the holiday

The Morgans post a photo on social media as they depart on a family road trip.

The holiday week is upon us, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton Morgan are heading off for a socially distant road trip with their family. They posted an adorable family photo of a packed up vehicle. A second post shows that their destination was the Outer Banks, North Carolina.

The Morgans have been filming in Georgia for one of the season ten bonus episodes of The Walking Dead. JDM is well known in the TWD world as the villain turned hero, Negan. He is also known for his menacing weapon, a barbed wire wrapped bat, Lucille. In season eight, we find out that his weapon is named after his wife. Now, his on-screen wife will be played by his real-life wife, Burton Morgan.

Below is The Morgan’s photo, all smiles, with a vehicle piled high with everything a family needs for a holiday vacation.

The post below notes that they are in the Outer Banks, and Morgan isn’t happy about the mask-wearing situation there. The Morgans have been very vocal about mask-wearing and respect. Burton Morgan recently posted on her Instagram about a need for masks in First Nation and Native American communities. She has shared the addresses where masks can be sent.

When the season ten bonus episodes were announced, fans of Negan and JDM were delighted to see that Negan has his own episode. It will be exciting to see The Morgan’s on-screen together in this episode. It will be the final episode of season ten titled “Here’s Negan.”  This Negan centric episode is scheduled to air on April 4, 2021.
