Connecting The Walking Dead: ‘In This Life’

The Walking Dead: World Beyond’s first finale fits right into Rick Grimes’ story

Welcome to final installment of Connecting The Walking Dead for this first season of World Beyond!

For those unaware, this is a series where I look back at each episode of World Beyond, and try to find the connections between it and its predecessors, The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead.

If I’m being honest, this episode wasn’t as obviously connected to TWD or Fear as the episode before was. There wasn’t any obvious parallels I could draw between this episode or its scenarios, and ones from the prior series. I mean, I could talk about the comparisons between Huck and Dante, or Hope and Merle, since they were still there from the previous episode, but…I already covered those.

But, then, after thinking about a bit more, I did start to see things, little bits and pieces that, upon further inspection, made me think back to a couple of pretty prominent people from The Walking Dead. One is between Hope and Rick Grimes, and the other is between Lieutenant Colonel Kublek and another sinister villain, The Governor.
