2) Hope’s Introduction To The Civic Republic
Hope’s story in this first season of World Beyond ended just in the way Rick Grimes’s saga on The Walking Dead did: With them being whisked away to the Civic Republic by a CRM helicopter, off to who knows where, at the mercy of an extremely shady group of people.
Seeing this made me ask myself some questions about what the future holds for Hope once she arrives at whichever CR facility they take her too:
Will Leo be told that she’s there, assuming she goes to Ithaca? Dr. Belshaw wanted to tell him, but, couldn’t muster up the courage to do so.
Will Silas be there? Now, we have to remember that Silas was picked up, presumably, somewhere in Pennsylvania (The fence he, Elton, and Percy snuck through had the logo “PA Fence”, suggesting the abandoned industrial park was somewhere in the state), meaning that a New York facility might not be the place the CRM would take him (Maybe their facility near Philadelphia?), but, assuming it is…will Hope find him there?
Will we get some evidence of Rick being wherever the CRM takes Hope? If this series is intended to tie into the movies, is it so farfetched to think that it’s possible that we might get some hint of Rick being there, from Hope, Leo, Silas, or perhaps, all three? With the CRM apparently moving Rick around, who’s to say that he won’t be at the research facility in New York?
At this point, with us knowing so little about what’s planned for season two of World Beyond, but, under the impression things are being groomed to come to a head at the Rick Grimes movies, it’s entirely possible we’ll see some further connection between the two, and that Hope’s being taken by the Civic Republic Military is just the start of it.
