The Walking Dead’s Ann Mahoney to star in Lifetime’s Stolen in Plain Sight
By Renee Hansen
Ann Mahoney stars in Lifetime Movie Networks film Stolen in Plain Sight.
On December 19, Lifetime Movie Network will release its final movie from the Slay Bells collection of films. Stolen in Plain Sight is a thriller and will star The Walking Dead’s Ann Mahoney.
Lifetime Movie Networks is a sister company to Lifetime who will be airing its own holiday movie series. But, LMN is the place to go if you want movies with thrills and chills.
LMN kicked off its second annual Shocktober, Hateful and Grateful and Slay Bells themed months starting in October. Each month has a thriller type theme, and the movies are all in that genre.
Slay Bells, the December theme will consist of three movies. Secrets in the Snow (December 5), Pretty Little Dead Girl (December 12) and Mahoney’s movie Stolen in Plain Sight (December 19).
Stolen in Plain Sight is the story of a woman, Melissa, who is played by Gracie Gillam (Z Nation), who escapes her abusive husband. She takes her child and seeks refuge in her parent’s cabin located in a small Louisiana town. This is where she spent many summers as a child. Her child is then abducted, and the local authority’s lack of interest in the abduction forces Melissa to investigate on her own. During her search, she discovers the town has a dark secret.
Joining Gillam and Mahoney are Kyle Clements, Betsy Holt and Gary Grubbs.
Mahoney played Olivia, the quiet and reserved inventory manager at Alexandria on The Walking Dead from season five to seven. She was an outstanding addition to the cast. When Olivia first encounters Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), she isn’t impressed with his rude and crude ways, and when he insults her, she smacks him right across the face. Fans cheered for Olivia and her spunk. Mahoney did an outstanding job portraying Olivia, and it was a sad day on The Walking Dead when Oliva was killed by Arat (Elizabeth Ludlow) at the command of Negan.
The lovely and talented Mahoney can be seen in Bad Moms, 99 Homes, Logan Lucky and Same Kind of Different as Me, in which she stars with fellow TWD cast members Theodus Crane and Thomas Francis Murphy.
Be sure to catch Ann Mahoney on LMN’s Stole in Plain Sight on December 19.
