3. One More – Gabriel and Aaron’s faith

We know from the synopsis and table read that this episode focuses on Gabriel and Aaron, and certainly seems to have a central theme about faith.

While that is something I am always happy to see more of, and Seth Gillam does a beautiful job depicting Gabriel’s struggle, what I really want from this episode is more Aaron.

Aaron has now been in the show for half its life, and somehow I still feel we haven’t scratched the surface of the man, nor the level of Ross Marquand’s acting talents.

I want to see something which really explores what makes Aaron tick, how he has kept his humanity and faith in the future, in a way few other characters have managed.

Personally, I would like to see Aaron step into Rick’s role in the Commonwealth story – he has the background from working in government, and he has the peace keeping temperament needed to work with a new group. And I’d like to see the foundation for that laid in this episode.

I hope that we’ll see more of Aaron’s mindset, and that “One More” shows that he and Gabriel make a perfect team for running a community and keeping hope alive.
