5. Leo is unaware of so much tragedy
This isn’t tied to a singular moment, but this was an absolute must for this finale list based on just how important Leo Bennet is to The Walking Dead: World Beyond. He is the driving force behind absolutely everything that has taken place so far. While his wife, unfortunately, passed the night the sky fell, he has still done an amazing job raising Iris, Hope, and Felix.
Without his parenting, these kids wouldn’t be the people they are today. The whole reason this group set off into the vast unknown was that they thought Leo was in trouble and they needed to save him. Through episode 9, fans only got to see Leo in flashbacks, and from what has been shown, he is a parent kids dream of.
He may not be shown as a strong fighter type, but if he knew even 1/10th of the events that have happened since he left, nothing would stand in the way of him getting back to his family. Leo is a smart man, so when fans finally get to see him in the current timeline he is questioning the CRM. However the fact he has no clue what is going on while also being such a huge driving force is a mind-boggling notion.
He doesn’t know the Portland doctor is dead, or that Will is being hunted. That Hope is on her way to him, because of Lyla’s betrayal. That the entire campus colony is wiped off the map. Or the immense trouble the tiny group that got away is in. This raises a few massive questions, when will he find out and what will he do about it? Will this cause Leo to break, or grow?
