Fear The Walking Dead starts with more clues of what’s coming than you may think

A few weeks ago, we here at Undead Walking had our The Walking Dead season one appreciation week, and with nothing new until February, we decided to have another appreciation week, this time, focusing on the first season of Fear The Walking Dead.

During that first week, I looked back at the first season of The Walking Dead and searched for everything referencing or preceding the zombie outbreak, and tried to analyze what it told us about this lost period in the show’s history. Well, since the whole premise of Fear (At least initially) was to show the outbreak happening, I decided doing that same thing would be…redundant, so, instead, I’ve decided to go back over the show’s first two episodes and look for all the hints about the outbreak we see, besides the more obvious ones, like Gloria, Cal, and Art, who all turn in front of one or more of the main characters.

After having gone back over those episodes…I was honestly surprised about all the little clues we get just in that small window, before everything formally starts breaking down. Honestly, this is why I get so frustrated with how accelerated the series has often felt, because they did such a good job subtly building tension and leaving clues about what was to come, that I wanted more of it, and it was just something we didn’t get much of as the show wore on.

So, for this week, let’s take a look back at all the little clues Fear The Walking Dead gave us before everything went to Hell. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.
