The Walking Dead holiday: What to put in Carol’s stocking

If The Walking Dead characters received stockings, what would you give Carol?

It’s hard to carry over traditions from before the apocalypse into the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead. Though the holidays might be remembered by those who experienced them, it doesn’t mean we can’t have fun thinking up ways to mix traditions and TWD. So if Santa was going to give a Christmas stocking to Carol, what would be in it?

A New Bow…Or Maybe a Crossbow?

Carol has become quite adept with her bow and arrow over the years. She’s always been good with weapons, from guns to explosives and everything in between, but she is really dialed into archery so a new bow would be nice. Perhaps Santa could find a nice professional one for her somewhere in the ruins of an old sporting goods store to give her.

Then again, she might want an upgrade and why not go for a crossbow like Daryl? Imagine the team they’d make with matching crossbows.

An Adventure

Carol is at her best when she has a mission to focus on, so maybe Santa could send one her way. Perhaps the Whisperers left behind some notes on supply caches nearby.

Carol has never been one to sit around and rest on her laurels. When the group first arrived in Alexandria she was making moves while she was making cookies. She’s too smart to think things will be ok now that the Whisperers have been defeated, so she needs something where she can focus her energy. (And sadly, a puzzle just won’t cut it, Santa)

Family and Friends

There’s nothing more magical about the holiday season than being around the ones you love. Whether they’re your blood relatives or the people who have become your family, it doesn’t matter so long as you’re with the people you call family.

Carol has been through a lot, more than anyone else in the entire TWD Universe. She’s lost a lot of people she cared about and now more than ever she needs a reminder of the people who care about her.

For Christmas, Santa should give her a reminder of the people who love her. Give her a break from the endless tragedies to have some quality time with her family and friends.
