2) Realize The Situation You’re Going Into

Part of the reason I pointed out Chris noticing the cop being bitten, and how, on some level, he knew something was wrong was because…he didn’t listen to his instincts.

Believing that filming the protest was important, he went against his instincts that something was wrong and stayed at the scene as it grew increasingly more volatile. Honestly, considering how angry the crowd was, I don’t think it would have been too far of a leap to guess what was going to happen next. It was a powder keg, requiring only one spark to go off, and, considering how volatile the crowd was getting, it would have been easy for that spark to happen.

Such a situation would be bad enough under normal circumstances, but, if you’re getting the inkling that a zombie outbreak is beginning, it is a potential disaster, and one you don’t want to be a part of.

When you go to places as the outbreak is beginning, take a second to think about what you’re walking into. In the example with Chris, for instance, if you’re somewhere where an angry mob is starting to build…maybe you shouldn’t stick around to find out what happens, because, in a worse case scenario, the crowd will draw something even worse: Zombies. You don’t want to be in a large crowd if there’s the possibility that zombies might join it, because then you’ll be stuck dealing with a panicking mob and zombies.

Know what you’re getting into, because, once zombies become a thing, you’re freedom to assume things are okay goes out the window; Everything becomes a risk, and you need to be smart to stay alive.
