Melissa McBride reads Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark on Audible

It is always a fun thing to see our Walking Dead cast in other projects. We don’t often see Melissa McBride in other shows or movies, but now you can listen to her as she narrates Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark on Audible.

Three stories in Alvin Schwartz’s collection of scary stories are narrated by McBride along with Patton Oswalt and Alex Brightman. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, More Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, and Scary Stories 3 are the three stories in this collection.

In 2019, these stories were adapted into a well-received film, and now a sequel is in the works. The films did an excellent job of telling the tales.

These stories are geared toward a younger audience, but adults enjoy them just the same. Schwartz drew inspiration from folklore and urban legends to create his stories. The books have collectively sold over seven million copies and will undoubtedly boost those numbers from this new audio release.

McBride will again take up her role as badass Carol Peletier in The Walking Dead’s eleventh season. This will be the final season for the original series. Still, Peletier will join fellow castmate Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, in a spin-off series centered on their characters.

Carol has been with the series since the beginning and is a fan favorite for sure. She started as an abused wife and pulled herself up to one of the group’s most productive members. She has endured so much loss and came out stronger on the other side.

It will be exciting to see where the next season and the spinoff series takes Carol’s story.

Next. Opinion: Glenn Rhee didn’t have to die on The Walking Dead. dark
