What New Year’s resolutions should Percy make on The Walking Dead: World Beyond?
The Walking Dead: World Beyond debuted in 2020 and made an immediate impact on the mythology of the greater TWD Universe. One character that was introduced later on in the first season had a huge impact: Percy. At first he was a friend, then he was a foe and then he became a victim in Huck’s spider web of lies and deceit. Now that he’s Elton’s traveling partner, Percy needs to make a few resolutions if he’s going to survive.
Survive
Speaking of survival, the first thing Percy needs to do is to survive. The bullet didn’t kill him, but he’s battling a nasty infection and he wasn’t doing too well for a while. If he can make it this far, it seems like he will be able to survive but it’s going to take some effort on his part to not give up when things seem bleak.
Trust In Others
Percy and his uncle survived by tricking people around them. He didn’t know he’d come across genuinely good people until it was too late and he ruined his first impression with Iris. We can only assume that Elton and Percy will reunite with Felix and Iris at some point, and he needs to fully trust them because they will be stronger as a group.
Show Elton and Iris the Ropes
Percy has a major advantage over Elton and Iris because he knows what life is life out in the open. They don’t have a clue how to deal with many situations out there (which is no fault of their own; they were living very sheltered lives) and Percy can help the group’s chances of survival if he can pass along what he has learned to them.
If they are able to reunite, he should step up and help Felix lead the way, showing Elton and Iris how to survive in this strange world. If they know how to deal with situations they haven’t faced yet, it will make their group stronger and increase their chances of survival.
