What New Year’s resolutions should Elizabeth make on The Walking Dead: World Beyond?

The Walking Dead: World Beyond debuted in 2020 and made an immediate impact on the mythology of the greater TWD Universe. Lieutenant Colonel Elizabeth Kublek (Julia Ormond) made quite the impression in the pilot episode. Elizabeth thinks she has things under control, but as we’ve seen from the TWD Universe the moment you think everything is ok, that’s when things start to crack. These New Year’s resolutions will help her if she’s going to last in season 2.

Watch The Cracks

Elizabeth was suspicious enough from the moment the CRM helicopter landed, but when she ordered the entire community killed at the end of the episode it changed the whole game. She is someone who has a lot of power, but every villain we’ve seen thus far in the TWD Universe has a lot of power until the cracks start chipping away at that power.

Though CRM has a lot of resources, there are surely plenty of people who want to see them fall. (Take, for example, the people traveling with Will) If enough of those people come together and pool their knowledge of CRM’s inner-workings, they could be in trouble and she’ll be a huge target.

Keep Huck Close

Elizabeth may not be the maternal type, but she does care about her daughter and her daughter’s well being. (Even if it’s only to protect her own reputation) Once Huck learns what Elizabeth did to the Campus Colony, she will likely turn against her mother.

While Huck was willing to kill Tony to fulfill her mother’s mission, Huck isn’t the type who will stand for killing 9000 innocent men, women and children. Huck could be a big liability for Elizabeth and CRM, and not even family ties will keep her in line.

Have a Back-Up Plan

In the event that things start to crumble for CRM, Elizabeth needs to have a plan. Does she fight? Does she flee? Where would she go?

Elizabeth has an advantage in that she knows the resources available to her. Even if her community is attacked, she knows where she can flee. But the only way she’ll make it out is with a plan….
