What New Year’s resolutions should Alicia make on Fear the Walking Dead?

After six seasons, Alicia Clark is finally coming into her own on Fear the Walking Dead. In season 6 she emerged from her mother’s shadow to demonstrate that she’s ready to make her own decisions, and she did. She took charge of the situation at the molasses factory and she decided not to follow Strand after he abandoned her. These New Year’s resolutions will help Alicia find success in the second half of season 6.

Stick To Your Guns

It was a big deal when Alicia decided to go with Morgan instead of Strand. She and Strand had been together from the beginning and they were a team – until he turned his back on her and opted for a position of power in Virginia’s world. Even though he was likely acting to protect her, he abandoned her. She was going to go her own way with Charlie and Dakota until Morgan presented a better option.

Some of the decisions she has had to make weren’t easy ones. It’s not easy to say goodbye to a friend the way she did with Strand. But she has to stick to her guns. She has to remain resolute so that she can be the leader her mother always wanted her to be.

Always Have A Back-Up Plan

When Alicia revealed that she was planning an escape to the ballpark, it was a brilliant plan because it was a safe place that she and Charlie knew well. If they could reach it, they could start over.

Even though she’s heading to Morgan’s new camp, she should keep making back-up plans. You never know when you might need one.

Build A Network Of Allies

Alicia has been training Charlie to become a fighter. She needs to have more allies, whether it’s Dakota or others. Nothing can happen without people there to watch your back. The stakes are too high to be a lone wolf now. Alicia is always at her best when she has people around her that she cares about and who care about her. Having people ready to fight is always a good thing, especially with all of the cracks in Virginia’s community starting to come through.
