Wishing Lauren Cohan a happy birthday

Fans flooded social media with birthday wishes for Lauren Cohan.

Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie Rhee on The Walking Dead, is celebrating her birthday today. Fans used social media to post photo collages, gifs, favorite Maggie moments and amazing artwork to express their love for the actress.

Season ten brought us the return of Maggie and her son Hershel after being gone many years. The reunion was well-timed as Father Gabriel (Seth Gilliam) needed help in a bad way when Maggie and her masked companion, Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari), saved the day. After the fighting was over, Maggie shared a sweet reunion with many of her old friends.

Maggie will be a part of season eleven, which is also the final season of the long-running series. The first episode of the six bonus episodes entitled “Home Sweet Home” will continue Maggie’s return story when her past catches up with her.

Hopefully, we will learn what Maggie has been up to in her absence and why there was a lull in correspondence via the letters to the group. Maggie has never resolved her hatred for Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) after he savagely killed her husband, Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun), with his barbed wire-wrapped baseball bat, Lucille.

Maggie was the leader of Hilltop, which was burnt to the ground during the Whisper war. She will need a safe place to live especially since she has her son to think of. Most likely, she will live in Alexandria since it is a safe community.  Be sure to catch “Home Sweet Home” on February 28 on AMC.
