Multiple Walking Dead cast members and crew participate in a short film.

Pollyanna McIntosh, who played Jadis/Anne on The Walking Dead, posted a new project on her Instagram account. A short film called Happy Trails will be available to stream through Dunedin International Film Festival (Florida).  The film will be available via the virtual festival from January 14-24. You can see showtimes and purchase tickets on the Dunedin website.

McIntosh is joined by fellow TWD alum and current Fear TWD cast member Lennie James, along with Cooper Andrews, who plays Jerry in TWD and another alum Josh Mickel, who will always be affectionately known as Shitty Jared.

The short was written and directed by Amy Blanc Lacy, filmed by Deke Keener, makeup by Tracy Swiatly and Danai Gurira helped produce.  All of these talented individuals are involved in the TWD series.

The story follows a woman who calls her therapist for a session after her father dies from COVID. Due to the pandemic, they agree to hold the session outdoors. Her therapist, who is an alcoholic, oversleeps. Her journey ends up being very unexpected.

This story was written by Lacy in memory of her dad and marked her directorial debut. Lacy serves as a script supervisor for The Walking Dead series as well as many other series.

McIntosh, who played Jadis/Anne on the TWD series, was last seen radioing a helicopter for pick-up of an “A” subject, Rick Grimes, who is thought to be dead.  Perhaps we will see her again in a future episode or perhaps in TWD movies?

James, who started on the TWD series, crossed over to the spinoff series Fear The Walking Dead and has been an asset to that storyline. He is also set to voice Darkwing in Robert Kirkman’s animated series Invincible.

Andrews currently plays the lovable sidekick to King Ezekiel on The Walking Dead.  Back in the days, before the pandemic, when we could attend cons, Andrews would bring cobbler for his fans, as this is a favorite of his character Jerry.

Mikel has been a busy guy since his character Jared was killed off TWD. He has parts in The Dirt, Black Lightning, Greenland and Doom Patrol, to only name a few of his projects.

McIntosh and Andrews have also been announced as guests at The Camp in Peachtree City, GA, this Memorial Day weekend.
