The Walking Dead table read for bonus episode
By Renee Hansen
The Walking Dead’s table reads are giving us a great look at what is to come.
On February 28, The Walking Dead fandom will finally get what they have been waiting for. MORE EPISODES. It seems like it has been forever since we last saw our group in the season ten finale.
FOXtvUK shared a clip from the table read for the episode entitled “Splinter” that will focus on Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Yumiko (Eleanor Matsurra) and Princess (Paola after they have been captured and separated. Princess must face memories of her past while also trying to escape with Ezekial’s help. In this table read, Cooper Andrews (Jerry) serves as the narrator.
In the table read, we get a taste of what the group is experiencing during their captivity. Eugene is worried about the family he has left behind and what they are going through in his absence. Princess is trying her best to figure out how they can escape while also worrying about Yumiko and her injuries. And then Ezekiel makes a dramatic entrance to try and save the day.

“Splinter” is the fourth episode in the bonus episodes of season 10c. The six bonus episodes were announced by showrunner Angela Kang ahead of the announcement the eleventh season would be the last for the long-running series.
Kang told Insider that it was interesting filming during a pandemic. That they really had to get creative during the writing process keeping in mind the challenges they would face during filming. These bonus episodes will serve as a bridge to season eleven while filling in some storylines gaps.
"“In order to film safely, we’ve had to think really deeply about what we can accomplish at this point in a way that is hopefully still really creatively satisfying,”"
“Home Sweet Home,” the first bonus episode of The Walking Dead, will air on February 28 on AMC.
