Where are they now? Featuring Steven Ogg
By Renee Hansen
TWD Alum Steven Ogg played the evil but hilarious Simon; what has he been up to?
The Walking Dead always needs villains. Steven Ogg played Negan’s right-hand man, Simon and did an outstanding job at being intimidating but also adding a bit of comedy to his character. He was one of the Saviors that I loved to hate. It was sad to see him as a walker chained to the fence at Negan’s sanctuary.
Simon was killed in season eight when he decided it would be a good idea to go against Negan. Sadly, this leads to his death and he was then allowed to turn and put on guard duty on the fence at the Sanctuary.
Since departing the series, Ogg has been busy. He is currently starring in the series Snowpiercer with Jennifer Connelly, Daveed Diggs, Sean Bean, and Lena Hall. This series is a dystopian thriller set in a post-apocalyptic world that airs on TNT.
This series picks up where the original film left off. The Snowpiercer is a huge train that is always circling the globe carrying the last remaining humans on earth. The world ended seven years prior when it transformed into a frozen wasteland. The storyline follows the last remaining inhabitants and their fight to survive.
The series second season will release on January 25 on TNT.
Ogg will be doing a QandA on Redditt, January 16 at 11 am PT. Go to Redditt user name u/TNTintern for the live even with Ogg. On his IG post, he stated you can ask him anything.
Ogg has been involved in many other projects since leaving TWD. In addition to Snowpiercer, he was in the Amazon original series, Tick and Better Call Saul. Other new projects include the thriller Origami and the horror western The Moonshine Gang of Cheyenne.
Be sure to catch Ogg on his live Redditt event TODAY at 11 am PT.
