Deaths happen in The Walking Dead, but some have made the show a lot worse off.

Since I did my Worst Walking Dead Death Of 2020 article, I’ve been thinking back on a lot of the deaths that have happened over the course of The Walking Dead, and I’ve realized that some of them have kind of damaged the series, in my opinion, at least.

I mean, obviously, in a show like The Walking Dead, deaths will happen, and the showrunners can’t control how actors are going to feel about being on the show or what other (Potentially lucrative) opportunities they may get that might lure them away from the show.

Having said those things, that doesn’t change the fact that the deaths I’m going to list here were ones that weren’t especially necessary and, in at least one case, entirely superfluous!

This week’s goal isn’t to focus on the behind-the-scenes reasons for these departures (Again, some of these weren’t controllable), but how they negatively affected the series at-large and why, in hindsight, these deaths probably shouldn’t have happened.

Oh, and I won’t be bothering with Glenn’s death, as one of my colleagues has already kind of covered this, but trust me, had she not done so, his death would be on this list too.
