The Walking Dead releases trailer for bonus episodes

The new trailer for the season ten bonus episodes of The Walking Dead is action-packed.

It seems like forever since we have seen a new episode of The Walking Dead. It has only been three months, but October 4, 2020, seems like a long time ago.  We are finally getting a glimpse of what is in store for the bonus episodes in the tenth season.

This new trailer is action-packed and full of good hints of what is to come. It is an emotional roller coaster from start to finish!

This trailer starts with Eugene, Yumiko, Ezekiel, and Princess right as they are being captured. And, the group which has captured them, presumably the Commonwealth, has questions for the captives. This is reminiscent of Rick’s questions early in the series.

Carol’s voice is heard as she states they both know the world they live in and how it will catch up to them eventually. Is the “both” she mentions her and Daryl? Or someone else?  We see Carol’s additional clips with Daryl, and she appears to be in a dark building looking for something.

Next, we hear Gabriel explain that evil people aren’t the exception to the rule; they are the rule. Obviously, on the tales of the Whisperer War, more evil people are lurking about.

We see Daryl in many clips.  He is running towards a cabin; he has a gun held on him by newcomer Leah (Lynn Collins); we also see him in a fight with someone, and what is that scream he is letting out? What pain and misery have caused that?

We get a glimpse of newcomer Mays (Robert Patrick) as he counts down to an explosion that looks to happen near Maggie.

What has made Aaron hold a gun to his own head?

Who is the man walking towards someone with a hood over their head? Is that one of our people wearing the hood?

One new character that fans have been dying to see is Lucille (Hilarie Burton-Morgan); we see her with a gun, shooting someone.

There is an emotional conversation between Maggie and Daryl. They discuss little Hershel asking about his father and the man who killed his father. He asked if that man got what he deserved. One major question in the fandom is whether Negan’s recent actions will redeem him in Maggie’s eyes.

And, just when you are questioning whether or not Maggie can forgive Negan, this new Negan we have seen, but Maggie has not…we get a glimpse of the leather coat, red scarf-wearing, Lucille bat welding Negan of old. Is this a flashback to how he became the vile leader of the Saviors?

I have watched the trailer multiple times, the first time I may have held my breath for the entire thing. These new episodes are going to be amazing. There are so many storylines that it makes the trailer a bit hard to follow, but it doesn’t take away from the excitement of it all.
