The latest podcast breaks down The Walking Dead 10C trailer and synopsis

As the countdown to The Walking Dead bonus episodes continues, AMC released the first trailer for the upcoming season 10C along with a synopsis of what’s ahead. We have a brand new episode of the Undead Walking Podcast that breaks down the trailer and the synopsis.

AMC released the new trailer on Thursday morning. It’s a one-minute trailer but it’s packed with all kinds of information about the new episodes, and it also features a look at the four new characters – Mays (Robert Patrick), Elijah (Okea Eme-Akwari), Lynn Collins (Leah) and Hilarie Burton Morgan (Lucille).

Here’s the synopsis from AMC:

"In these six new episodes, we find our survivors trying to pick themselves up by their bootstraps following the destruction the Whisperers left in their wake. The years of struggle weigh upon them as past traumas surface, exposing their more vulnerable sides. As they question the state of humanity, the state of their collective community, and the states of their minds, will they find the inner strength to persevere with their lives, friendships, and group intact?"

LISTEN to the Undead Walking Podcast:

The trailer features some very interesting voiceovers from Carol, Gabriel and Maggie. These episodes, described as “more intimate” by Scott M. Gimple, have a definite introspective edge to them as the characters ponder their lives in the aftermath of the Whisperers.

Carol and Daryl’s friendship was put to the test in season 10, and now she’s talking about how the past and the dead will catch up to them eventually.

Gabriel makes a very insightful comment about how evil people continue to be the biggest threat in this world while Maggie explains to Daryl how she has to reckon with Negan being free while also telling her son Hershel that the “bad man” who killed his father got what he deserved.

Clearly, there are a lot of things that need to be worked out before anyone can move on.

This one-minute trailer may be short, but it gives fans a lot to work with as we wait for The Walking Dead to return on February 28.
