The Walking Dead: Will we get some backstory on Dog in season 10c?

In season nine of The Walking Dead, when Dog came on the scene, fans were ecstatic to see Daryl Dixon finally get his pet. Dog, played by a dog named Seven, immediately became a fan favorite.

Norman Reedus, who plays Dixon, has made it very public that he has asked showrunners to give Daryl a dog for years. His request was always denied because of the difficulty in keeping a pet in an apocalypse.

Dog has proven himself time and again in his short time on the series. He has helped locate missing people and alerted people when danger is near.

Fans are so dedicated to Daryl’s pet that they have signed petitions threatening to riot if Dog dies. This is nothing new in this fandom, as fans have had the same mantra regarding any harm coming to Daryl.

Will The Walking Dead showrunners give us a back story to where Daryl and Dog met?

On February 28, AMC will release the first of six bonus episodes of what is being called season 10c. These six episodes will be character-centric, with the second episode, “Find Me,” giving us some insight into how Daryl spent his time in isolation from the group while he was searching for Rick. Fans are hopeful that this will include how and when Daryl found his furry companion.

The Walking Dead has been featuring cool short videos featuring main characters in the series and recently, they gave Dog his own video and it is amazing. You can view it below.

Season eleven will mark the final season for The Walking Dead and it will be great if Dog is included in that season and on into the Daryl and Carol spinoff series. It isn’t clear exactly what the spinoff series will entail, but fans are excited to see a continuation of the series in this spinoff.

The first episode of season 10c of The Walking Dead will air on February 28 on AMC.
