It has been reported by Digital Spy that Netflix recently announced that TWD alum Pollyanna McIntosh, who played Jadis/Anne, has been cast in Vikings: Valhalla. She will play Queen Ælfgifu, who is described as the Queen of Denmark who is calculating and ambitious. This sounds like a fun role for her to take on.

The Walking Dead cast members who have left or been killed off the show are always part of TWD Family. Celebrating their achievements beyond this series is one reason TWD is a great fandom to belong to.

This series is a spinoff to the History Channels Vikings series, which ran for six seasons. The original series is available to stream on Amazon Prime.

Vikings: Valhalla will be a Netflix historical drama original series created by Michael Hirst, who created the original series. Hirst will be joined by Jeb Stuart, the co-creator, writer and executive producer for the series and best known for his work on Die Hard.

Pollyanna McIntosh is cast in the Netflix original Vikings: Valhalla.

McIntosh played Jadis/Anne on The Walking Dead from season seven until she left with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in season nine. She is also listed as reprising her role in TWD movie that has yet to start filming.

The announcement of the new casting for Vikings: Valhalla is all over social media. Others joining McIntosh in this series includes Sam Corlett, Frida Gustavsson, Leo Suter, Bradley Freegard, Johannes Johannesson, Laura Berlin, David Oakes, Caroline Henderson and Asbjørn Krogh Nissen.

This spinoff will take place over 100 years after the original and the series was ordered to have 24 episodes. Filming was halted earlier in 2020 due to the pandemic but was able to resume later in the year. It is projected that we could see this series release sometime in 2021.

Broadsheet’s Harry Warren shared some photos that were taken during the filming of the series.
