Angela Kang, showrunner for The Walking Dead shares some BTS photos

Today marks one month until the first of the six bonus episodes of season 10 of The Walking Dead will air on AMC. Showrunner Angela Kang has given us something else to be excited about with some BTS photos of filming.
The photos show Maggie Rhee (Lauren Cohan) and her on-screen son Hershel taking a break from filming. The second photo shows Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) giving us his one-finger salute. The fact that these three characters are filming simultaneously is exciting as there is a major storyline that needs to be played out between them. Negan is responsible for the brutal death of Maggie’s husband, who is Hershel’s father. This is a story that needs resolution.
Last week Georgia Tour Company gave us photos of the return of the blades on the windmill at Alexandria. So, we all knew this marked filming would begin soon. Are these photos of the filming of 10c or perhaps even the beginning of filming for season 11?
The eleventh season will be the final for the series, but this season will have 24 episodes meaning there is much more story yet to be told.
When will season eleven of The Walking Dead be released?
According to a recent promo video released by The Walking Dead, we can expect to see at least something of season eleven in 2021. The video featured release dates for all the series in TWDU for 2021.
The Walking Dead has run for 10 seasons and die-hard fans aren’t ready for this series to end. Although the end of the series has been announced, with that has also come the announcements of a third spinoff series that will focus on Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) and Tales of The Walking Dead anthology series.
It is exciting to see that the cast and crew have been able to continue filming while also keeping everyone safe. We have heard of no major outbreaks on the set for this series. They must be doing something right.
Tune in to AMC on February 28 for the first of the six bonus episodes of The Walking Dead.
