The Walking Dead: Maggie stares down Negan in new clip

The Walking Dead oftentimes gives us loose ends, and you know what Abraham says about those! One of those storylines that just has to be resolved is Maggie and Negan.

In the latest clip released by The Walking Dead, we see Maggie give a death glare to Negan, and she stomps past him. Now, I have made that same look and that same cadence across the room when I just can’t handle the emotions that have overcome me. I have never had to deal with the exact situation Maggie is in, but I have been in a similar state of mind.

Every time this woman sees Negan, she sees the face of her beloved husband, Glenn. She remembers the exact moment that Negan took that first swing that would be the begging of the end of Glenn’s life.

As a mother, she has to set an example for her son, who, although still in the womb, also lost his father that day. As a parent, you try to set a good example even in tough times. But, that is easier said than done in most cases. How will Maggie handle Negan?

Maggie is giving a death stare in the most recent clip, but what about Negan’s reaction?

We can clearly see Maggie’s state of mind in the 9-second clip. But, take a moment to contemplate the look on Negan’s face. That is a look of a man who knows what he did to destroy Maggie and her son’s lives. It is the look of a man who has come a long way since his bat-wielding days.

This is a look of remorse. I am sure this is a new emotion for someone who, for years, has done nothing but destroy people’s lives, always looking out for number one.

Since those days, he has infiltrated the Whisperers and help destroy them from the inside out. He knew the only way to redeem himself was to show the communities he can be a team player and work against those who are out to destroy them.

Look at the way he saved Judith and tried to comfort Lydia.

Has Negan changed?

Does this redeem him for the brutal deaths of Abraham and Glenn?

It will be interesting to see how Maggie and Negan’s story plays out.
