The Walking Dead twitter fandom was set ablaze today to discover that Princess now has her own emoji when the show hashtags are being used. All Twitter users have to do is type #TWD, #TheWalkingDead, or #TWDfamily, and a cute photo of Princess will pop up right beside it! Fans using their smartphones must make sure the latest version of the Twitter app is being used, or it’s possible it will not appear.

With the bonus episodes being just around the corner, this emoji could be the start of several emojis Twitter could create for fans. Each episode has focused on different characters, so it’s possible this could change weekly. While characters like Negan, Maggie, King Ezekiel, Aaron, and Daryl are more obvious picks, fans would also love to see options like Dog, the Commonwealth guards, and even Lucille!

This emoji popping out of nowhere also seems to cement the fact that episode 1020 will have a strong focus on Princess. Many fans, including those who love the comic series, would assume this emoji would also be paired with a Commonwealth guard emoji or at least one of the crew along with Princess. However, after testing many hashtags with different names, this is the only character to have their own emoji so far.

There is one thing this new emoji does confirm, and that is The Walking Dead can clearly see how much the fan base adores this new character. She may have only appeared in a few episodes, but she has sparked love all over the world. Multiple fan pages for Princess, and the actress who plays her Paola Lázaro, have popped up on all social media platforms proving she is cherished already.

The Walking Dead has now added a new Princess emoji to all of the show’s hashtags on Twitter, leaving fans of this character bursting with excitement!

Regardless of the character chosen for this adorable honor, fans also are excited because it means viewers are that much closer to seeing the new content. After how rough 2020 was, this is exactly what fans needed to shake off hiatus blues and jump back into their passionate love for The Walking Dead. Congratulations, Paola Lázaro, for having a new emoji in your likeness and high fives all around for Princess fans!
