Fear The Walking Dead trailer introduces new character

Fear The Walking Dead released a new trailer, and things look exciting. It was announced that Fear TWD will return to AMC with the back half of season six on April 11. Fans of the series are anxious to see what is to come.

Season six of the series has received rave reviews from critics and fans. Many fans who previously stopped watching have come back because of how well done this season is compared to previous seasons. There have been a lot of comments stating that the previous seasons became slow and uninteresting, that the show just wasn’t as good as before. Many fans just wish Madison would return, feeling this would give new life to the series.

Then enters the sixth season, and things have gotten very interesting. There are new groups to deal with and major conflicts that need to be resolved. The second half of this season looks to be action-packed.

This new trailer is consistent with the theme we see for the upcoming episodes, “Death, Destruction, Decay.”  Throughout the trailer, we see examples of all three of these elements. Graves are being dug, fires being lit, human conflict is destroying relationships, and the world is in a state of decay.

Who is this new character that is talking to Alicia?

The narrator of this trailer turns out to be a new character played by John Glover (Smallville), and at the end of the trailer, we find out he is talking to Alicia. He knows her name and says that he has been looking for someone like her for a long, long time. This has fans speculating two things, how does he know her name, and what does he mean by someone like her?

Of course, the first thoughts are that he knows Madison. Fans are always holding out that she is alive and will make a return to the series. Alicia says that he is “the king of the crazies.” Who are the crazies? Another new group? Someone she has encountered before?

The narrator’s entire quote:

"Death, destruction, decay. What is happening to the world isn’t new. The world’s been breaking down since its inception. Everything is winding down, including us. Death is inevitable. But from this death comes new life."

Amidst all the death, destruction and decay, he does say that from this comes new life. We see a strange tree zombie in the middle of a room. There are green vines, showing new life, that have grown into the tree trunk and has become one with the zombie. We also see Grace and her belly swollen in pregnancy, also representing the new life he speaks of.

The second half of this season is gearing up to outdo the first half. The series has been renewed for a seventh season that has starting filming. The hope is that we will get at least a few episodes into the next season before the year is out.
