By Renee Hansen
With the return of The Walking Dead, there are many questions fans need to be answered. There are loose ends everywhere, and viewers really need some clarification and closure.
February 28 The Walking Dead returns on AMC with the first episodes of season 10c. If you are a subscriber to AMC+, you can view the first episode NOW!
These episodes will focus on specific characters, and two of the episodes feature Daryl and Caryl.
It is well known that these two characters have a long history together. Many fans wish they would hook up already! Others feel they are extremely close but that the relationship isn’t romantic. Whatever the case, these two have been together since the beginning, and each one has been through their own share of heartache.
What does the future hold for Carol and Daryl in The Walking Dead?
In an interview with TV Insider (view video above), Melissa McBride and Norman Reedus give us a look into what is going on with these two characters.
We have long watched the strain on the relationship of Carol and Daryl. More so since Carol became obsessed with ending Alpha. We all know she had every right to want Alpha’s head on a pike, as that is exactly what Alpha did to Carol’s son Henry. Should she have gone behind Daryl’s back and made a pack with Negan to do so? Maybe not, but it’s done, and things need to move along.
Reedus shared that 10c will give us some backstory to help viewers understand what Daryl has been through. McBride commented that Carol will be working to mend their relationship and get some Dog backstory.
They both have enjoyed having Lauren Cohan back as Maggie. Reedus said it brings back many memories of past cast members. As far as season 10c, they both feel there is so much going on in these episodes that fans will be happy with what they see.
Concerning the Carol/Daryl spinoff, Reedus hopes it will be a Carol/Daryl/Dog spinoff. McBride says she is excited about the spinoff even though she doesn’t know where eleven will take them to lead into the spinoff. Reedus commented that it will definitely have a different tone than the original series.
“Find Me” will air on March 7 and “Diverged” on March 28. These are the two bonus episodes that will feature these two characters, and it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. The Walking Dead returns on February 28 on AMC.
