Season 8

Like every season on this list, season 8 of The Walking Dead had amazing and disappointing moments. What lands season 8 on the bottom of this list is that there were many more disappointing moments than amazing ones.

None of those disappointments are bigger than the death of Carl. The character built up to be the show’s future in the previous seven seasons was taken out by a simple walker bite, of all things. It was a complete waste to end Carl’s time on the show, all so Rick could be motivated to spare Negan at the end of the war with the Saviors.

The season also felt a little bit drawn-out as it concluded All Out War. If the episodes moved the plot forward quicker, then perhaps season 8 wouldn’t find itself on the bottom of the list.
