Ranking every season of The Walking Dead from worst to best

Season 6
Season 6 of The Walking Dead is when the world really started to open up.
Having joined Alexandria in the previous season, the survivors have settled into the community and soon find themselves meeting Jesus and the people of Hilltop. Before they know it, they attack Negan and the Saviors, which obviously doesn’t end well for the group.
This season features some of the show’s best episodes, including the Morgan-focused “Here’s Not Here.” The characters really find their stride this season, as they are more comfortable in Alexandria. Perhaps this makes them a little too cocky with their ability to survive, as we see towards the end of the season.
The final few episodes of the season, from “Not Tomorrow Yet” until the season finale, have this overarching sense of dread over them, which is only ramped up after knowing what happens in the Negan lineup scene right after those episodes. Every step that the group takes feels like they are going too far. Hell, even Glenn took a living person’s life towards the end of the season – something he had never done on the show before.
All-around a pretty solid and meaningful season, and thus a spot near the middle of the list.
