One of the most difficult things to navigate in a zombie apocalypse will be dealing with people. Not dead people, but living ones.

You see, with so much chaos and desperation in a zombie apocalypse, dealing with people may not be “normal” in the way we think of it. I mean…it could be, but, at the same time, it could just as easily not be, depending on the circumstances you meet people in.

Much of this week’s episode of The Walking Dead focused rather heavily on this theme, as Aaron and Father Gabriel (Himself becoming rather pessimistic about people since dealing with the Whisperers) were met by Mays, an intimidating man whose scarred visage and overall cynicism toward people was borne out of a supposed betrayal by his twin brother.

The Walking Dead has been full of both good and bad people, and to survive a zombie apocalypse, you need to keep your eyes open for both.

Because of this, I’ve decided that this week’s Survival Rule Of The Week will focus on recognizing that there will be both good and bad people and why it’s important not to make assumptions about whether someone is one or the other in a zombie apocalypse.

Hopefully, by the time I’m finished this week, you’ll know why you need to keep a suspicious, but at the same time, open mind.
