1) There Are Going To Be Bad People.

Let’s get the obvious thing out of the way first: There will be bad people in a zombie apocalypse, just as there are bad people now.

Why bother mentioning something so obvious? Well, I fear that there may be people who hope that, because of the existential threat of a zombie apocalypse, that people will cast aside the things that normally divide us, and come together to fight off such a danger to our very survival, only to wind up at best, disappointed, and at worst, dead.

The fact is, just like in every other disaster, there will be at least a few people (Though likely more than a few) who will not care about the larger problem at hand and remain just as selfish, greedy, and violent as they normally do. This is where you’ll see the people looting useless luxury goods, destroying stores with actual useful stuff in them, burning down people’s homes and businesses, and attacking people for little or no reason at the beginning of the outbreak.

It’s important that you know, not think, know this ahead of time to have a healthy bit of caution when you begin your attempts to survive the zombie apocalypse. If you were to go into things with the belief that the shared threat will cause people to work together or, at least, not work against each other, you’d find yourself sadly mistaken. Such a mistake could have many disastrous consequences for you, including crippling injuries, debilitating fear, distrust, and paranoia (And all the awful things that could result in), despair, or death.

Don’t fool yourself. Know that people will not be all sunshine and rainbows in a zombie apocalypse, and prepare yourself accordingly.
