The Walking Dead returns to AMC Sunday, March 21, with the episode “Splinter.” This will be the fourth of the six bonus episodes in season 10c.

Each of the bonus episodes focuses on a few characters and a storyline giving us a deeper look into these characters. “Splinter” will take us to the season 10b finale cliffhanger where Eugene (Josh McDermitt), Ezekiel (Khary Payton), Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) and Princess (Paola Lázaro) were surrounded by soldiers from the Commonwealth.

AMC has released the opening minutes of the episode, and you can view it below.

“Splinter” will show us how the group has become captured and separated.

The teaser for this episode shows that Princess is being held alone in a boxcar, giving us major Terminus vibes while she is suffering an anxious episode. She uses a coping strategy to ground herself and spring into action.

In a clip that was aired on Talking Dead, Princess was being questioned by a Commonwealth Interrogator played by Jessejames Locorriere. This is a new character, and it has been suggested he is Lance Hornsby from the comics.

This episode will be more Princess-centric, and since she is the “new girl,” it will be good to learn more about her. We see in the table read that she will interact with Eugene and Ezekiel. In the teaser, she has a gun in some of the clips, so she must escape at some point.

The Commonwealth has been an arc that comic book fans have longed for. Now, it looks like we will get a taste of what is to come. There have been teaser clips for season eleven that elude to the Commonwealth, and fans have gone crazy analyzing them to figure out what they mean.
