Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan, a Tesla and some weed gummies
By Renee Hansen
Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan centric episode of The Walking Dead airs on April 4. “Here’s Negan” will show some back story of how Negan became the man we know in the series. In this episode, we will also meet his barbed wire-wrapped bat’s namesake, Negan’s wife, Lucille. In this episode Morgan’s real wife Hilarie Burton Morgan will play his on-screen wife.
This week Morgan was a guest star on Jimmy Kimmel Live, where he shares a story about an experience he had after ingesting some CBD gummies as a sleep aid. Whatever he took must have been stronger than your usual CBD sleep aid. Morgan has no memory of this event, but he got online, created a Tesla S with all the bells and whistles, and put a down payment on this vehicle. Luckily, he could stop the purchase of this $127K vehicle with only a few hundred dollars penalty. It was a great story, and Morgan and Kimmel shared a laugh about this incident.
Morgan also shared that he has contracted the flu. He was 100% sure it wasn’t COVID as he has been tested numerous times to ensure this. He guest-starred on the show from his home in Georgia. Between the flu and filming and children waking him up very early, he expressed that he is exhausted. Fans were delighted that he still took the time to appear on the show.
Easter Weekend will be a BIG one for Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
In addition to his big Walking Dead episode airing on April 4, Morgan’s new film The Unholy will premiere in theaters on April 2.
Morgan shared with Kimmel that a Negan spinoff could also be a possibility in the future. There have been many conversations on social media about other TWD characters that fans would want to see in a spinoff. When it was announced that season 11 would be the final for the main Walking Dead series, it was also announced that Carol and Daryl would have their own spinoff. This rattled fans of other characters who feel their character also deserves a spinoff.
Only time will tell what the future holds in TWDU for Morgan and his character Negan.
AMC will air The Walking Dead episode “Here’s Negan” on April 4.
AMC+ members can stream this episode on April 1.
