One character stood out among the rest during season 10, episode 20 of The Walking Dead. Before jumping into the MVP, it’s important to mention that everyone involved with the making of this episode did a phenomenal job. Princess may have only imagined that Eugene, Yumiko, and King Ezekiel were speaking with her, but Josh McDermitt, Eleanor Matsuura, and Khary Payton are very real!

Khary Payton gave an amazing performance that was so convincing that fans had to watch this episode more than once to grasp everything that happened. The interactions between King Ezekiel and Princess were so enthralling that viewers were sad on a certain level that they didn’t truly happen. Even the members of the Commonwealth sold their parts extremely well. However, because this episode mainly focused on a singular character and showed insane growth, there is only one option for MVP.

This week’s MVP is Princess!

Fans got a massive deep dive into what makes Princess the person she is during ‘Splinter.’ She has been through incredible trauma even before the world fell, yet has still managed to come out of all of it as a good person. While her personal mental health journey is a critical discussion as she personally decides she deserves happiness and friends, she displays how much she cares about her new friends even in her darkest times during the episode.

The scene at the very beginning when everyone is being separated is very real. In these moments, she curses the Commonwealth guards and does everything she can to save her friends. During this exchange, Yumiko tried to run to Princess and is knocked out. Princess is riddled with guilt at the mere thought she caused pain for Yumiko. While the conversation in the train car doesn’t truly happen, her apology is genuine. There is no doubt that even if this encounter overall ends well, she will be apologizing regardless.

The Walking Dead created an absolute masterpiece with episode 1020, and one character stood out among the rest in terms of personal growth and heart.

She also refuses to tell the Commonwealth interrogator anything about her friends at first, fearing that it could be used to hurt them or their people back home. Undead Walking is positive that while Princess would hesitate or even deny being MVP, she certainly would enjoy the opportunity to wear a cute crown! Her new friends are lucky to have found a loyal warrior like Princess.
