This week on The Walking Dead, fans got to catch up on what is happening between Daryl and Carol after their big fight in season 10, episode 18 titled ‘Find Me.’ This episode titled ‘Diverged’ showed their friendship fractured and vulnerable. Daryl decided to stay out to look for food (and likely Connie) while Carol and Dog went back to Alexandria to see how they could help.

Much like the other bonus 6 episodes, only a few characters were focused on. This episode mainly featured Daryl, Carol, and Jerry, but Dog was also there for moral support as well. This episode didn’t add or further the story much overall; it just added to characters that viewers already know about.

This week’s MVP is Jerry!

Viewers are well aware that Jerry is one of the most supportive people on the show. He gives the audience plenty of cute and wholesome moments to laugh at, but he is also the first person rushing into the flames to try and fix it when danger presents itself. He is an excellent judge of character, and he tries to be kind to everyone. He is definitely someone you want on your side, no matter the situation.

In this episode of The Walking Dead, he can tell something is up with Carol from the jump. When Daryl doesn’t come back with her, viewers can tell by the look on his face that he is concerned. When Carol is faking being fine, he certainly isn’t clueless. He keeps his eye on her and tries to make sure she is doing well. He gives her a task like she asks and keeps working to help redo the garden.

The Walking Dead slowed things down this week and showed the fallout from Daryl and Carol’s argument, and one person clearly stole the MVP crown.

At the end of the episode, he decides to open up and be honest. He admits he doesn’t have a poker face and just wants to know if Carol is okay. He may not have sayings ready for the situation like his best friend, King Ezekiel, but it’s clear he is doing his best. Never change, Jerry; wear your MVP crown proud! It is characters like you that hold the story together.
