The Walking Dead: Here’s Negan sneak peek and he’s in trouble
By Renee Hansen
Sunday, April 4, AMC will air the final bonus episode of season 10c of The Walking Dead. “Here’s Negan” is an origin story of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), and fans of the character can’t wait to see how this episode plays out.
We know we will get to meet Negan’s wife Lucille, who will be played by Morgan’s real wife, Hilarie Burton Morgan. The early reviews of this episode have stated the Morgan’s chemistry on-screen makes this an outstanding addition to the 10c season. On a side note, the Morgan’s have starred in the same projects, but this is the first time they have shared screen time.
We heard the story Negan told Father Gabriel in season eight regarding his wife. He told of her cancer and losing her, and he also shared that he was unfaithful to her, which didn’t win him any points with anyone. This new episode will look deeper into what made Negan the man who became the saviors’ leader.
In the sneak peek below, he is desperate to get medicine for his ailing wife.
The sneak peek shows a distressed Negan; what comes next?
In this scene, Negan is captured by newcomer Baxter (Rodney Rowland), who is the Valaks Vipers biker gang leader. Negan has found the medicine that Lucille desperately needs, and Baxter is taunting him with it. You could almost feel sorry for him if you didn’t know what he would become.
The Negan we witness in this clip is scared and vulnerable, a side of him we have never really seen. Could this scene be a turning point in his personality where he has to fight for his wife’s life-saving medicine? Will we get to see a transformation into the Negan who will lead the Saviors?
The back story of Negan has been a story that fans are very interested in. When the comic “Here’s Negan” came out, fans were overjoyed, and when the episode was announced, people couldn’t contain their excitement.
You can view The Walking Dead’s final bonus episode, “Here’s Negan,” on April 4.
This episode can be streamed on AMC+ on Thursday, April 1.
