The Walking Dead opening minutes for the final bonus episode of season 10c show Negan (Jeffery Dean Morgan) and Carol (Melissa McBride) on a short trip. Although this is very unexpected for Negan, he takes things in stride.

Many viewers were displeased with the six bonus episodes due to the lack of action and story building up to season eleven. This episode will most likely change their minds.

Backstories are always informative and give us an inside look into a character. The backstory of Negan will take you through a roller coaster of emotions. This episode does an amazing job showing us how the leader of the Saviors became who he was. During this episode, your feelings for Negan will change multiple times.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s wife, Hilarie, plays his on-screen wife, Lucille, and does an amazing job.

“Here’s Negan,” finally gives us a glimpse into Negan’s weapon, Lucille’s namesake. His wife Lucille battled cancer during the onset of the outbreak. Negan shared a little bit of this story with Father Gabriel in season eight. This episode will give us a deeper dive into what occurred during Negan’s life during this time.

The on-screen chemistry between the Morgans gives the episode such an authentic feel. You can tell from interviews and other interactions that the Morgans are a very close couple. They have been together for many years and successfully juggle their acting careers, farm life, and other businesses, all while raising two adorable children.

JDM shared in an interview that his wife was the best choice not only for her talent but because he wouldn’t have wanted to film intimate scenes with anyone other than her during a pandemic. The Morgans have even been living in one of the Alexandria set homes during filming.
