1) This episode begins with a walker eating a deer, much like the first walker we ever saw Daryl Kill way back in the third episode of The Walking Dead, “Tell It To The Frogs.”

2) According to Dakota, two of Virginia’s scouts are dead, and John has been missing for a week at this point. The two scouts are most likely Dwight and Althea (Who faked their deaths two episodes back in “Honey”), and John fled in the previous episode, “Bury Her Next To Jasper’s Leg.”

3) This episode’s title sequence features a silhouette of Alicia standing in a forest with a walker wearing deer antlers on its head, a burnt-out car behind Alicia and a sign that reads “Buck’s Landing” to her right, all while a notably eerie version of the title theme plays in the background.

4) As Strand calls out to them, Alicia reveals that she and Charlie have been at that specific outpost for six weeks. This also lets us know that’s how long it’s been since Strand got his promotion back in the season’s second episode, “Welcome To The Club.”

5) The fact Ed plays the song “Jeepers Creepers” after he detects Alicia inside the lodge is something of an ironic coincidence, as the song was the calling card of The Creeper in the 2001 horror movie Jeepers Creepers.
