7) This episode’s title sequence features John (Without his hat) standing at the bridge near his cabin, pointing his gun at an oncoming herd of walkers at the far side of the bridge, paralleling Rick Grimes’s last stand against a herd back in his final appearance, The Walking Dead’s season nine episode, “What Comes After.”

8) According to Morgan, he and Dakota got separated from Alicia and Charlie on their way back to the dam, meaning this episode follows directly after the end of the previous episode, “Damage From The Inside.”

9) Back at the cabin, John reveals to Morgan that he’s been back at the cabin for a couple of weeks. If we’re to take this literally, this would mean that the sixth episode of the season, “Bury Her Next To Jasper’s Leg,” took place two weeks before both this episode and “Damage From The Inside.”

10) Dakota calls the dead “Chompers.” This is at least the twenty-fourth unique name for the dead in Fear.

11) Marcus is the sixteenth named character to die this season; he’s also the first person John’s killed since the robber he shot before the outbreak hit.

12) While John, Morgan, and Dakota search for a new vehicle, Morgan reveals something never really addressed before: His profession. Listening to Morgan talk about John’s dad’s old truck, he reveals that he was a mechanic before the outbreak.
